Will V6 II work with Priolite (MBX500 HotSync)
I`ve used Priolite-Flashes with my Nikon-Gear, but now I`m using the Fuji-X-System an there`s actually no Fuji-X-Support from Priolite.
Is it possible to use the Priolite MBX500 HotSync on my Fuji-X with the V6 II in "HotSync-Mode".
The Flash-Duration of the MBX500 is 1/200 @ t05
Does the MBX500 supports HSS when you use with Nikon?
If so, are you able to turn on its HSS function directly on the back panel of the strobe unit?
BTW, what's "hot sync" mode?
We would need flash duration at t0.1, which needs to be 1/200s or longer.
I don't think you'll be able to manually activate HSS on the Priolite strobe. Priolite write on their website that their HotSync functionality is only available with their own remote control.
However, you may still be able to use the strobes for high speed sync by placing the original Priolite trigger
a) on top of an on-camera V6II (may or may not work depending on how the Priolite trigger behaves) or
b) on a V6II receiver (seems to work in more cases than approach a) above).
Cactus apparently do not officially support such dual trigger system configurations but many posters here seem to be having success with them.
@Antonio: "HotSync" is Priolite's name for their high speed syncing technology. I have my doubts that they are using classic HSS bursts. They seem to be using some long pulse technique. I remember one user demonstrating gradation across the frame, but perhaps he had not configured the system properly. It seems to be working fine for most.

According to Priolite, the visible unevenness of the exposure is normal and does not represent a fault of the particular units the tester used.
If the commander lets you enable HotSync without being on camera then it may be you can use a trigger input from a V6 II receiver to fire the unit. If that doesn't work then it's going to be hoping that one of the two trigger stacking options works.
That Power Sync produces unevenness due to its normal flash pulsing curve, like a big parabola, where at the top and bottom of the image you would get a slightly less lumination than the centre portion of the image.
On the other hand, HSS pumps out a relatively flat pulse, like a flat line. So this would have even lighting across the the image, top to bottom.
Perhaps using POWER SYNC ADJ you may be able to adjust the timing to match with camera's sync time? Unfortunately we don't have one to test for you, @adelsgruber.
