Fuji X-PRO2 flash setting

I haven't used my V6II for a couple of months but prior to that I'm sure I had them working okay (using a Nikon SB910 flash) with my X-T1 and X-PRO2. Since then I've updated the X-PRO2 to the latest Fuji firmware update and (I think) the flash options look different to before the update - no forced flash which I thought I used before. So I can't get the flash to work now. What do I have to set on the X-PRO2 to use the Cactus units please? Thanks

  • Okay, think I've sorted it - user error! I hadn't updated the Cactus firmware properly (first time I'd used it and whatever I did it hadn't updated to the latest version). Now appears to be working with the flash function setting (in the X-PRO2) set to M.

  • Hello Gary, Thanks for the update.
.... Now appears to be working with the flash function setting (in the X-PRO2) set to M.

Could you clarify where did you set to M?

And are your V6 II updated to the latest firmware version, 1.1.006?

    Thank you.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "FUJ.1.002", "NIK.A.001", "v.103".

For the time being, Cactus V6 (MK1) running on firmware version 2.1.001 can be triggered by a V6 II (MK2) running on Multi-brand HSS firmware (e.g. 1.1.013) but not by X-TTL firmware versions:  PEN.A.001 NIK.A.001 OLY.A.001.  No schedule has been released yet for an "A" version firmware on the V6 (MK1).

Cactus RF60X / RF60 Firmware versions A04 and A03 currently ONLY works with PEN.A.001 NIK.A.001 and OLY.A.001.  Other "A" version of X-TTL firmware will be released soon. For both Multi-brand HSS and X-TTL firmware versions (FUJ, SIG, SON), install firmware version 103 / 205 on your RF60X / RF60.

  • I can only set X-Pro2 to TTL or OFF. How do you get M?. When the Cactus unit is turned on, the M switches to TLL. No M available.
