V6II (x3) + Fujifilm X-T2 + Canon Flashes (430EX / 600EX)

I'm stumped here.

I've got a Canon 430EX and a 600EX-RT each on a V6 II in RX mode.

I've got a V6 II in TX mode on my X-T2.

No high-speed sync, just manual power setup I'm looking for.

I can't get the flashes to fire at anything but full power. No matter what I try to manually set them at, any time they're triggered from the Camera - they fire at full power. If I press the test button / shutter release they fire appropriately (at the defined levels) but never when I actually press the shutter on the camera.

Am I missing something super simple?

  • I think I got it figured out, and it was super simple. The camera wasn't auto-detecting as a Fuji camera. I missed a 'press the shutter button half way' to auto-detect Fuji step (found reading other support guides).

    Everything seems okay now ha?

    Great success.
