Firmware Updater on Mac OSX Sierra

i just purchased from Amplis two Cactus V6 II and used the firmware updater for Mac to update the firmware from 1.1.006 to 1.1.008.

Unfortunately, the updater took the firmware backward to firmware 1.1.003.  How do i fix this? Luckily, I only did this on one of the two V6 II devices.

Do I have to use the Windows updater on a colleagues’s computer?  Why did this happen?

  • look for small download button over update button to download last fw first.
  • Hi @Kennedda,

    Don't worry.

You can install an older or newer firmware anytime you want.

As @basz suggested, do click the smaller button - "CHECK FOR LATEST FIRMWARE", before clicking the "UPDATE" button.

    Cheers.

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.

  • This was my error. You need to check for firmware updates and select the latest and then do the update. I just selected firmware update and the program defaults to an initial firmware. Thanks for the feedback. I'm really pleased with the V6 II and my FUJIFILM XT-2 and Nikon SB-910.
  • Glad to know it is working now.

In our next version of the Firmware Updater, we will take away the "Check for Latest..." button and streamline it so that it's automatic.

    Cheers!
