Fuji XPro 2 and V6 II no HSS

I've been trying to use a V6 II to HSS with a Godox AD360 II C. The Xpro2 firmware is 2.01. I've updated the firmware to 1.08 on the V6 II and it will auto detect the fuji when turned on in tx mode. I've placed the godox x1 c transmitter into the hot shoe on top of the V6 II and this has also been auto detected. I've then completed the 'learn hss' at 1/1000 steps. The V6 II will fire the AD360 II C at sync speeds of 250 and below and produce a lit picture. After pushing the wheel to turn the forced HSS on and changing the shutter speed to above 250 the Godox AD360 II C still fires but the HSS does not work and the pictures are banded or unlit. The Godox AD360 II C shows the HSS symbol on the LCD so I'm sure this is not the issue. I've also tried swapping the X1 C transmitter for a pair of Interfit strobies and get the exact same issues.
Any ideas what's going wrong?

  • Have you switched into normal HSS Mode? Might be, that you are still running HSS OFF (though with forced HSS).

If there's banding, most likely you need to redo LEARN HSS.

This is due to jumping shutter times on all Fujifilm cameras. So when you first did the Learn HSS process and camera takes a shot, that particular timing was not the "most-used" by the camera. Solution, redo until it captures a timing that is indeed the most often used.

This cannot be helped until after we release new firmware to tackle this. We are almost done our study of the EF-X500, which was the missing piece from Fujifilm in offering "real" HSS.
