Trying to use V5 as remote trigger for second Canon DSLR
in V5 Problems
Hi
I hope someone can assist. I'm new to remote triggers for camera shutters.
I have a V5 mounted on my Canon 5D MKiii - I need it to trigger the 1DX which has a cable attached to the second V5 via the shutter port.
I have experienced two problems:
1. The 1DX fires incessantly as soon as the cable is plugged in (I am nowhere near the first (TX) camera - it's firing on it's own.
Shut it all down as fast as possible. Checked connections... channels.. all good... tried again...
Now the 1DX (RX camera body) will NOT fire when I depress the shutter on the 5D MKiii (TX) but WILL fire if I hold down the button on the actual V5 unit which is mounted on the 5D.
Any suggestions? I need to get this working for a job and I'm not having any luck on my own. I need the second camera to trigger the shutter at the same time as I'm pressing shutter on first camera.
Thank you.
