Elinchrom Quadra Compabality HSS please ?

Just purchased a set of V6ii triggers and very pleased with them, after some initial setting issues, very well assisted by the Pentax Forum, they work superbly well with Pentax K1 and Metz Flash.

I also have an Elinchrom Quadra system, and despite trying all options, they wont work above the normal sync speed, is there a work-around or something in the pipeline please ?

Many Thanks

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

    Only ELB400 supports High-speed sync.

The Ranger Quadra does not, unfortunately.  If it has a longer enough flash duration of 1/100s at t0.1 then you will have a chance to get HSS to work. You better check with Elinchrom to confirm the specification.

What we know is Quadra's "A head" has a flash duration of 1/3000s at T0.5.  But you need to know their T0.1 time to be sure...

    Thank you.
