So are you guys saying that the only way to have an assist light (regardless with the rf 60x or th v6II) is for the red Lightroom constantly be on? That’s so strange
The RF60X when triggered by a V6 II, the AF-assist light will come up automatically and also switch off automatically.
If you use just the RF60X directly on camera's hot shoe without any V6 II, then yes, the AF assist light has to be turned on automatically. It will turn off as you take the picture, but it will automatically come back on again and stays on until the next frame.
The RF60X is a purely full manual flash when used directly on camera, notice it has only got a center hot shoe contact pin.
Thanks!

As mentioned by the photographer (our brand ambassador in Japan, Ilko Alexandroff) in the video, the LED light from the V6 II is quite strong already.
But in case you are really far from your subject, the V6 II will also turn on AF-assist light on V6 II RX or RF60X at the same time. When triggered by the V6 II, other V6 II RX and RF60X will replicate the AF-assist light behavior - only light up when needed.
Thanks!

Like a pattern?
No! The focus assist on the V6II & V6IIS is a red LED. You can manually adjust the power of that red led.
