Replace the test button?

When pressing the back side buttons, using a thumb, it feels natural to hold the index finger on the opposite side (front side) of the unit. This will, however, release the test button !
So, I would suggest a different place for the release button! Eg facing upwards at the front :-)

  • That's a good suggestion, @Planfoto!
    We will keep this in mind when designing the V7.

    @Planfoto

    Are you not operating the V6II with your left hand?

    When holding the camera in the right hand, only the left hand is free to operate the V6II. The index finger of the left hand, will not naturally rest where the test button is, right?
  • I guess @Planfoto just did not want to rotate his left wrist...?

    If the original (static) position of the left index finger is resting on Group A button, with left thumb resting on the Selection Dial, then by rotating your left wrist (opening your palm towards your face), this motion would wraps your fingers around the front of the transceiver, in particular your left index and middle finger move towards the Test Button on the far right.

    If we move the Test button right in front of the Group A button, you could minimize the rotation of the palm. However this position, for some people, may cause accidental presses?
