V6 not working with Olympus OMD-E1
Forgive me if this is addressed in another discussion, but all I see are questions regarding TTL pass through and firing Olympus/Metz/etc... speed lights. My issue is much more basic. I am unable to just trigger a remote strobe with my shutter release via a V6 connection.
I've attached a V6 (set to RX) to a new IC12 LED Lightcube with a 3.5 cable. I've mounted another V6 (set to TX) onto my Oly OMD-E1 via hot shoe. Channels match, both units set to Manual. I am able to trigger the test flash via the test button and then fire off one burst by shutter release button. Then nothing. No more flashes. I suspect that the second burst is actually just another test as the power isn't nearly what the settings say.
When shutter release is pressed that second time, the hot shoe mounted unit flashes green as does the receiving unit so I know they are communicating, but the receiving V6 isn't actually triggering the strobe to fire.
For shits and giggles I removed the hot shoe mounted transmitter and placed it on my Canon 5DmkII, and it worked perfectly right away. I know the V6 is advertised as working with virtually any camera with a hot shoe, and indeed specifically says Olympus/Pano m43 but this doesn't seem to be the case... please help.
On a side note, to make matters worse I suspected it could be a firmware issue and went to upgrade only to find out you don't offer updates for MAC users??? What gives? I see you've announced an upcoming version back a few weeks ago, when can we expect that to drop?

Try turning it off or use the manual flash profile on the transmitter V6.
Does your lightcube fire every time when using the test button on the V6
when the transmitter V6 is not attached to the camera? Seems like the
answer to this question should be "yes" as the V6 seems to be working
with your 5DMKII.
Does your lightcube fire every time when using the test button on the V6 when the transmitter V6 is on-camera?
If so, the camera may be thinking there is a flash attached that isn't ready to fire yet.
The V6 normally requires very little and very simple interaction with the camera so that's why I'm speculating that perhaps the V6 is being used in TTL pass-through mode and the camera picks up signals that makes it stop generating further trigger events.
