Two SB-28 on one Cactus V6

Hi all

I am not sure if this issue has been raised yet. I would like to control two SB-28 with one V6 as a single flash unit. My idea is to connect a double hotshoe cable on top of the V6 and mount the two SB-28 and profile them as one flash. I can try to do that but just want to make sure I will not fry the V6, I like it so much :)

Thanks a lot for the response

P.S.: If you wouldn't answer I would understand, as the right answer is "buy another V6" :)

  • We didn't recommend using the V6 in that way. However, you can give it a try. It won't make any damage to your V6.

  • Well, guess what, it works! I also have V6 learn the 2xSB28 combination, the only problem is I cannot set the GN to more than 80. Training worked fine otherwise. So, although I see that commercially this may be bad news, I can also see a lot of people would like to have 2, 3, 4x hotshoe mounts where they could attach multiple flashes and arrange the V6 trigger more neatly. Plus let that GN integer grow a bit more in the firmware :) For people working with multiple flashes in softboxes I guess this may be a nice trick.
