SB700 using TTL passthru acts like it went off but didn't

I have a D750  with a V6 on it, then the SB700 on that.
Passthrough enabled.
Take a photo, and the SB700 acts like it went off (the red flash light starts flashing like it's recharging), but no flash happens.
When flash directly on the camera, works fine.
Ideas/suggestions/questions?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello JuniorJr, the problem lies with the Nikon D750.

    See this thread:  http://www.cactus-image.com/community/discussion/470/help-with-v6-and-nikon-d750-sb-400-sb-800#latest

Nikon has made the hot shoe slightly different than its siblings and the V6 may not work as hot shoe pins do not all line up.  We will have a new hot shoe specifically made to cure this and it will be available in the next couple of months.
