Users Tested: Flash models supported by predefined profiles

edited March 2016 in V6 Compatibility
Further to the original post, below let's consolidate all the flash models (runs solely on digital TTL, if analogue TTL is available then the flash can likely be learned) that were tested by fellow V6 users to be supported by choosing a digital TTL flash profile, such as:
  • Canon 320EX
  • Nikon SB-700
  • Panasonic FL500.
Reminder: if you flash is (1) not listed as compatible and (2) cannot be learned using the flash profile learning, then it's likely a digital-only TTL flash. In that case, try selecting a digtal flash profile to see if remote power control works.

So below are the models reported so far. Post any that I may have missed.

Nikon system flashes:
Nikon SB-400  (profile used: SB-700)
Nikon SB-500  (profile used: SB-600)
Neewer VK750II  (profile used: SB-700)
Yongnuo YN568EX  (profile used: SB-700)

Canon system flashes:
Canon 430EXIII-RT  (profile used: 320EX)
Yongnuo YN600EX-RT  (profile used: YN568EX)

Panasonic system flashes:
Metz 50 AF-1  (profile used: FL500)

Please feel free to add your own findings below and I will update the list.

Thank you!

Sorry we don't have one to test so we can't be sure.

  • Hello, just for everyone's awareness:

Flashpoint Zoom Nikon Li-On (Nikon model) will work with the Cactus V6 by selecting the SB-900 and the SB-910 modes.
  • ...by selecting the SB-900 and the SB-910 modes.
That should only applies to older firmware on the V6 II.

The latest 1.1.004 should have fixed this bug already (Nikon used instead of manual flash profile).

    Thanks for sharing @MichelSauret :)
