V6 II with RF60s...

  • Flash fires but NOT in HSS mode. Forced HSS does not work, no further forward in having the transmitter fire RF60 on HSS.
Could this be a case of using the electronic shutter mode on the X-Pro2?
I understand that HSS with the V6II only works in mechanical shutter mode.

Sorry, not a Fuji user here, but it seems that checking the X-Pro2 configuration seems to be the last box to tick.

  • @Geordieboy77 I am surprised to hear about your results.
Many others are using X-T1 and X-pro2 and all can get it to work.

    Try this.
Mount the V6 II fully into camera's hot shoe, leave the lock lever as soon as you feel tension. Then at:
    0.0s: switch on the camera
3.0s: switch on the V6 II to TX mode
3.5s: half press the shutter release button a couple times.

    You should see:

    DET. FLASH
    DET. CAM

That's when you should half-pressing the shutter button.

If it still does not work, maybe the bottom pins on your V6 II is shorter than normal, or the camera hot shoe contacts are deeper than normal. We have to verify the units in order to confirm this.

What we can be sure of is that, all Fujifilm users so far are able to auto-detect their cameras and achieve HSS. Where did you purchase your V6 II from?
