  • Hello @karim,

You shouldn't need to place the Air Remote on the V6 II. You can have the Air Remote in your hand, turn on HI-S Sync mode from the remote, and the flash will fire HSS.

On the V6 II (TX) on camera, turn on HSS by pushing the Dial.

FYI the on-camera Air Remote on V6 II is only for TTL Pass Through - and you will need to have the same camera system as the Air Remote.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Thank you!

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "FUJ.1.002", "NIK.A.001", "v.103".

For the time being, Cactus V6 (MK1) running on firmware version 2.1.001 can be triggered by a V6 II (MK2) running on Multi-brand HSS firmware (e.g. 1.1.013) but not by X-TTL firmware versions:  PEN.A.001 NIK.A.001 OLY.A.001.  No schedule has been released yet for an "A" version firmware on the V6 (MK1).

Cactus RF60X / RF60 Firmware versions A04 and A03 currently ONLY works with PEN.A.001 NIK.A.001 and OLY.A.001.  Other "A" version of X-TTL firmware will be released soon. For both Multi-brand HSS and X-TTL firmware versions (FUJ, SIG, SON), install firmware version 103 / 205 on your RF60X / RF60.

For your Godox AD360, I think you will also need to use the FS-16 trigger mounted on top of the V6 II with TTL Pass Through in order to have HSS work.

We haven't tried the D1 500 Air, but if it has HSS function (Hi-speed) just like the B1 then it should work too.

Thank you and keep us posted!

  • it works!!! both of them.... but still lack for X-T1, it seems like even AD360 in full power, not all the lights can be captured by X-T1. I'm still finding dificulty for over powering the sun for it... Don't know with D1 Air coz I havent tried it outdoor

    Thanks cactus!!!
  • Great to hear that @ronron!

You may want to try Power Sync if you want to maximize power output.
For some flash models, Power Sync boosts up the power above the typical 1/1 full power.

    Thank you!
