  • Hello @ranter

Could you check which firmware version are you running on your V6 II?

Did the V6 II auto-detect the GX8 as "O" (Olympus) camera system?

What portable flash model are you using? Did you also used the auto-detect function of the V6 II, or you manually selected the flash system / profile?

Thank you and I look forward to your updates.

  • Original firmware,, I have another post about inability to upgrade firmware due to .dll files.
    Yes auto detected as O
Using a canon 430 speed light and tried a streak light 360 (godox)
I tried both auto detect and setting specific flash

Banding at top does not occur with canon 5d3
  • Original firmware,
I post a reply on the firmware updating post, hope you will be able to update your V6 II.

You can check your firmware version by holding A + D group buttons as you switch on your V6 II - both TX and RX modes work. The latest version is 1.1.002.

  • i have updated firmware to 1.1.003 .
HSS issues less severe at lower shutter speeds.. usable up to about 1300.. before only usable up to 1000... anything above is still very noticable..

power sync .. does even worse

if there is anything else , aside from firmware update , that i can do please let me know as soon as possible . i'm feeling my only option is to return these transcievers as they are not performing as i expected

    Thank you
  • Hello @ranter

I have just forwarded your case to R&D. They will need to test on the GX8 to confirm the problem.

As soon as I hear back from them I will let you know. In any case I will post an update in 48 hours.

    Thank you.
