Trigger jammed on camera hotshoe
I had a major issue yesterday when a V6 jammed on the hotshoe of my Nikon D800. When it finally did come off, the cause of the problem appeared to be the hotshoe pins in the base of the trigger breaking up and becoming jagged.
The possibility of damaging the camera body next time this happens makes me very wary indeed of using the triggers again. Has anyone else come across such a situation?
Thanks,
JerryP.

I am sorry to hear about this and yes this has happened a few times before.
From what we observed, what caused the locking pin to stayed in the dropped position is the plastic spring that's holding the pin broke off due to over pusing the Lock Lever.
Looking down at the camera with V6 LCD facing you, the Lever not be locked with too much forcer and we recommend not passing the 3 o'clock position.
For your V6, can the locking pin be retracted still? If the pin holds its extended position no matter what you do with the Locking Lever, please do not use that particular unit as a transmitter.
In the meantime please contact our dealer / Cactus Store for service.
Thank you.
