V6 II with RF60s...
I have been successfully using the V6 1st Gen with four RF60s for over a year with my Fujifilm X-T1 and now X-Pro2. I just got a V6 II and it won't recognize the flashes, although the V6 1st Gen still does. Please help!

That should allow them to communicate with the V6II.

If so, you have to follow a certain procedure to install the device drivers.
In case the RF60 is powered on before connecting the USB cable, the Windows won't be able to detect the connection.

I've been using the older V6 with an RF60 for a few months with my Fuji X-T1. Now I got the V6 Mk.II for HSS.
I've updated both devices to the latest firmware. In regular mode, all is fine. The V6 Mk.II triggers the RF60 as it should. Above 1/180 I get the expected black band in pictures.
Then I followed the procedure to "Learn HSS" on the V6 Mk.ii (on shot at 1/1000). Then I set the V6 Mk.II into Forced HSS =On mode. Now the RF60 isn't triggered at all anymore.
As soon as I set the trigger to Forced HSS = Off, it triggers the RF60 again fine.
I did factory resets on both devices. Re-did the procedures a few times, but no luck. As soon as forced HSS is enabled the RF60 refuses to fire.
Is there any particular setting the RF60 has to be in ?
HSS Sympathy mode yes/no? (is that even possible in remote slave mode?).
Any preference setting that needs to be changed?
Power setting at a certain range?
I'm testing this for two hours now and I'm completely out of ideas.
Cheers,
Robin
It seems to be an issue with the hotshoe contacts between X-T1 and V6 Mk.II.
What I did notice was that the V6 Mk.II didn't auto detect the camera as a Fuji.
Only when taking the V6 Mk.II on and off a couple of times and pushing and pulling it a bit - and turning it on and off a few times - it finally recognized the camera as Fuji "CAMERA SYSTEM: AUTO (FUJIFILM)".
First it still didn't trigger the RF60. I had to re-learn the Fuji HSS after it auto-detected the camera.
Since then, everything is working fine in HSS mode. Up to 1/4000s no issues whatsoever.
Cheers,
Robin
Do you still have the delay issue or is it something else that isn't working?
Regarding the delay, make sure that both RF60 and V6II have their "Delay" values set to zero. On the RF60 it is the second menu item and should read "0ms". On the V6II it is also the second menu items under "Functions" and should read "OFF".
If taking care of the delay options does not solve your problem, try to describe what is working (e.g., firing via the V6II test button) and what is not.
The "TTL systems do not match" message is unrelated to the communication between the V6II and the RF60.
The message occurs when you are trying to use TTL pass-through and your flash system does not match the camera system.
If you want to get the RF60 working off-camera, I'd try not to use an additional flash on the V6II first.
There are two ways to select camera system.
1. Auto detect: turn off the V6 II , then turn on the camera, half-press the camera shutter while switching on the V6 II into TX mode. This sequence is matter.
2. Manual select: turn on the V6 II , go to MENU > CAMERA & FLASH SETUP > CAMERA SYSTEM > Select the specific camera system. The setting will be saved even after a power cycle.
After the setup, the camera with V6 II will be able to shoot in HSS for RF60.

Don't manually select the Fujifilm in the Camera System, because this way it's hard to determine whether the V6 II is actually communicating with the camera on all the hot shoe contact pins.
First, switch on the V6 II, press MENU button, scroll to Camera and Flash System, select AUTO for camera system. Then switch off the V6 II.
- Now mount the V6 II on your X-T1
- Switch on the camera
- Switch on the V6 II to TX mode + half-press camera shutter button a couple times to keep it active (from sleeping)
- Then look at V6 II's LCD and see if there's a F inside the camera icon.
If you see an F, then proceed below:- Press MENU button
- Scroll to Camera & Flash Setup
- Scroll to Learn HSS
- Press OK to Start the learning process (remote flash is irrelevant for this learning, it's only between the camera and the V6 II TX)
- Set shutter speed to above x-sync, e.g. 1/1000s
- V6 II will learn the hss timing information then jump back to main screen
- Push-in the Rotary Dial to turn ON Forced HSS
Take a shot at above x-sync (1/180s for your X-T1) and the flash should sync.Hope this helps!

As mentioned in the other thread, install the firmware again on the RF60 (should be 202 now?) and try again.
And remember to set Camera to AUTO, so you can be sure all the hot shoe pins are properly aligned.
Thank you!

That's strange. My V6II is on V1.1.003 and my RF60 is on V2.02. If I press the test button on the V6II, the RF60 fires even though the V6II is not mounted to a camera.
Perhaps you need to perform a factory reset on both V6II and RF60?
Are you using the gear very close to each other?
I have my V6II set to the "SHORT" option of the "WORK RANGE" option in the radio setup. This allows me to use very close distances between V6II and RF60 without losing radio communication. The maximum range with "SHORT" engaged is still 30m, or so, which is more than enough for what I'm typically doing.
The fact that this does not work for you with the latest firmware versions installed suggests that there is a hardware issue with your units. I know that you are not after the test button working as it should but if a basic test like that does not succeed then I would not necessarily expect more complex things to work.
Hopefully, Antonio or someone else from Cactus can chime in again to help you with your issue. Perhaps contact them via email as well?
Maybe you could try that, @Geordieboy77 and let us know if it worked for you too.
Thanks!
