Problems Syncing Pentax AF-540FGZ II and K-3
Yesterday I tried to sync a friends Pentax AF-540FGZ II to his Pentax K-3 camera using two Cactus V6IIs one as a trigger and the other as a receiver. Following the instructions and set camera to Pentax and flash to AF-540FGZ II on the transmitter and AF-540FGZ II on reciver. The flash fired but would not sync with the camera both in the NORMAL HSS mode of standard X mode (1/180 of a second). What am I missing?

Have you made sure that all delay settings are "0" (off)?
Perhaps try a factory reset of all triggers.
Set the camera system to "Pentax" on the transmitter. You don't need to change the flash system on the transmitter (that's just for an on-transmitter flash).
Set the flash system to "Pentax" on the receiver and manually select the "AF540F2" flash profile. Turn on the flash first, ensure that it is in TTL mode (or P-TTL) mode and then turn on the V6II receiver. The flash should be configured as if you were using it on the camera, not as a wireless slave (or similar).
The above should work, but I can't say for sure whether it does because I don't have an AF 540 FGZ II. It works for me and my Metz 58 AF-2 and my three Pentax cameras (no K-3 among them, though).
BTW, make sure your triggers are running at least V1.1.005.
Thanks Class A.
Keep us posted on your findings, @dlafferty2.
Thanks!
