Sigma SD1 Merrill support?

Just took the plunge and bought a V6 II and a couple of RF60x flashes, works well in manual on the SD1 Merrill SLR, but do you think you'll be adding HSS support like the SD Quattro?

Have you tried the "X-TTL for Sigma" firmware variant?

The compatibility page says this firmware variant for the V6II is compatible with the Sigma dp2 Quattro and sd Quattro.

Or are you asking whether the SD1 Merrill will receive the same support as the SD Quattro already receives? In this case, Cactus will have to answer your question.
  • Yes, tried the most up to date firmware version on both the trigger and flashes, it does work but only in continuous drive mode on the camera and only the second shot is exposed, the first exposure has half the frame cut off with the shutter lag. Thinking about it I might try second curtain sync.
  • Only the sd Quattro supports SA-TTL with the V6 II running on Sigma X-TTL firmware.

This is something Sigma advised us, unfortunately it is not something we can do.

    Thank you.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.
