Mixing V6 and V6ii

I've two V6 and two V6ii. I want to trigger an old flash that has a learned profile using one of the V6s, with the other V6 as tx, and with the two V6ii's attached to Nikon SB800s. All firmware has been updated. The V6iis are firing multiple pops on each exposure. I'm wondering if they're somehow stuck in HSS mode? I'm not able to adjust the power on them with the tx V6. Is it possible to use the older V6 to control V6iis?

Comments

  • It's because you can't.

Only the V6 II / V6 IIs (TX) can control and trigger a V6 (RX).

When V6 is being triggered only Power Sync mode of V6 ii's high speed sync mode is supported, in case you need HSS.

    Thank you.
