Using EOS R with Cactus V6II and RF60X

EOS R firmware 1.1.0
RF 24-105mm f4.0 L IS USM firmware 2.0.0
Cactus V6II firmware CAN.A.004
Cactus RF60X firmware A.08

When I zoom the lens on my camera I have to change manually the focal length on the V6II . After switching to TX on the V6II I'm able to use HSS on the EOS R , but if I stop using the camera for some moments and try using HSS again , it won't engage HSS on the EOS R . I have to turn the V6II OFF and switch to TX again for the EOS R to engage HSS again .
I would like to know if these issues are related to the Cactus V6II latest firmware , as Cactus probably didn't have a EOS R body in hand at the time of the firmware development , or are there any settings I'm unaware of .

  • I'm afraid that due to V6 II hardware limitation, Canon EOS R is not supported.

Coud you say if there are plans for a V6 III or V7 that would support the EOS R and future mirrorless Canon bodies ?
  • Thank you for the suggestion. We certainly consider that.
