The first wave of firmware releases has been for Fujifilm, Sony and Sigma. Other camera systems, i.e. Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Panasonic, will follow one by one as we complete system integration on the V6 II.

The X-TTL firmware gives photographers unprecedented flexibility. The need for matching flashes with the same camera system for on and off-camera TTL flash photography is over – TTL without boundaries.

On-camera Flash with TTL

Cactus V6 II works with an on-camera fill flash with cross-brand TTL capability.

Wireless Operation

Simply press one of the group buttons to cycle the group through automatic-TTL mode, manual mode and OFF.

High Speed Sync (HSS/FP)

The main benefits of High-speed Sync is two-fold: keeping a shallow depth of field at high shutter speeds, and freezing fast motion.

Power Sync

Boosts flash contribution above x-sync shutter speed. Perfect for extreme conditions where Normal HSS is not powerful enough.

Rear Curtain Sync

Flash is fired just before shutter closing. The X-TTL firmware supports rear curtain sync automatically.

Exposure Lock

Flash power lock

Lock flash power output after a desired TTL exposure is achieved. Perfect for consistency in repeat shooting.
(Tip: press and hold the OK button to activate)

Flash compensate

Store a desired flash exposure that will automatically adjust in response to changes in camera ISO, aperture and shutter speed.

The Road Ahead

Cactus already has launched X-TTL firmware versions for Fujifilm, Sigma and Sony,and will continue to release firmware updates for other camera systems as they become available.
